JR./SR. HIGH SCHOOL – Mike Myers, Principal
Another school year has quickly come to a close. There were 75 seniors who became Wayne Trace graduates following the ceremony on May 26. The Wayne Trace class of 2019 has left their mark and I want to wish every graduating senior the very best in their future endeavors.
With the close of this school year, we are very excited about the upcoming 2019-2020 school year. We welcome one new teacher joining our teaching staff, as Mrs. Anne Myers will be an Intervention Specialist at the Junior High School level. I would like to thank Mr. Zach Boyer for serving as our Intervention Specialist at the Junior High level working with our seventh and eighth grade students. His hours of planning and teaching influenced our students’ lives and we wish him the best as he moves on in his educational career.
Congratulations to the high school band for receiving a superior (I) rating at the state musical competition. The band gave tremendous performances and had an outstanding year. A huge thanks to Ms. Sharon Spinner, Mrs. Joni Wenninger, Mr. Richard Sherrick, and Mr. CJ Brincefield, who led these outstanding performers.
I would like to finish the 2018-2019 school year and my 20 years so far in education by recognizing and thanking the adults that play such an important part in the education of our young people at Wayne Trace Junior/Senior High School: faculty, secretaries, technology specialists, paraprofessionals, cooks, custodians, bus drivers, coaches, and aides. All of these people impact the lives of our youth and we can’t thank them enough for their dedication and service.
I wish everyone a safe and enjoyable summer break. Also, I trust that the 2019-2020 school year will be the best ever for the students and staff of Wayne Trace Junior/Senior High School!
