Professional Development the staff have attended include: Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence Conference, Gigi's Place for children with Down Syndrome, Dealing with Manipulative and Defiant Behaviors, Autism Certification Center, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum, Transition, Expanding Expressions Tool, and Early Learning Assessment, among others.
The Lima Mall is a site for Sensitive Santa, a special visit with Santa for children with sensory challenges. The event will be held December 3rd from 10:30-12:00. In addition to visiting Santa, children will participate in a holiday craft, enjoy snacks, and receive a goody bag. The purpose is to provide a fun experience in a calmer, sensory-friendly environment. Parents may RSVP to: https://limamallsensitivesanta.eventbrite.com.
